Shandong Provincial Government's Economic and Trade Representative Office in Southeast Asia Visits the Singapore Cultural&Tourism Pavillion
On July 28, a delegation led by Mr. Man Qiwei, Chief Representative of the Shandong Provincial Government's Economic and Trade Representative Office in Southeast Asia, visited the Singapore Cultural&Tourism Pavillion. The delegation toured the Centre’s Chimore Hanfu Gallery located at Yue Hwa Chinese Products, in Singapore, and discussed on future cooperation. Ms. Wang Yuelin, Chairman of the Singapore Cultural&Tourism Pavillion, briefed the guests from Shandong on the promotional events held in Singapore over the years to promote Shandong. Both sides had in-depth discussions on leveraging the Centre’s resource advantages in Southeast Asia to continue supporting and helping more Shandong brands expand in the region.

Facilitated by the Centre, the delegation also visited Yue Hwa Chinese Products to learn about its lineup of characteristic Chinese products, including fine teas, baijiu, traditional Chinese medicines, local delicacies, ethnic costumes, and household goods. They explored new paths for cross-border retail cooperation between Shandong and Singapore, focusing on the revitalization of intangible cultural heritage and taking Chinese products overseas. During the visit, the delegation exchanged views with the management of Yue Hwa Chinese Products on boosting the expansion of Shandong brands into the Southeast Asian market with a targeted approach.
Looking ahead, the Singapore Cultural&Tourism Pavillion will continue to act as a bridge for culture and tourism, empowering Shangdong brands with the charm of culture to link more Shandong products with Southeast Asian market demand, and jointly promote the integrated development of culture, tourism, and commerce. The Centre will also further strengthen communication with relevant departments in Shandong Province to premium Shandong classic works — such as online literature, online games, film, television, and animation — throughout Southeast Asia.
